Laser Card, the better way to pay

Laser

Laser from Bank of Ireland lets you shop when you feel like it, pay for your purchases directly from your current account and saves you carrying large amounts of cash or writing cheques. It's quick, it's easy and it's a better way to pay.

Paying by Laser is almost like paying in cash, although it's more convenient. Once you make the payment, the money comes out of your current account, generally within 2 - 3 working days.

Simpler than cheques, safer than cash

Using Laser is simplicity itself. The retailer will swipe your card and ask you to enter your 4 digit PIN into a PIN pad. The amount is debited from your current account generally within 2 - 3 working days.

Cashback

Most retailers offer a cashback facility1 when you're using Laser. You can pay for your purchases and take up to €100 in cash from your current account at the same time.

Use it everywhere

Thousands of retailers accept Laser; supermarkets, department stores, filling stations, pubs, restaurants and many smaller retailers nationwide. Look for the Laser sign when you're shopping.

Keep track of your finances

Using Laser makes it really easy to track your spending. Every statement will show each Laser transaction, how much you have spent and where you have spent it. Each transaction has its own receipt too, so you can easily keep track.
