Terms and conditions apply to the 3rd Level Student Current Account. Applicants must be students attending a full time course. Proof will be required.
Applicants who are undertaking a primary degree or have completed a primary degree and are undertaking a full-time post-graduate or under-graduate course are classified as Students for lending purposes.
1. Terms and conditions apply. Charges for certain services such as unpaid items and certain Cirrus/Maestro transactions apply. With the 3rd Level Student Current Account there is no charge for Cirrus/Maestro transactions in euro in any EU member state (as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). There is an additional charge for all other Cirrus/Maestro transactions. Please refer to our Schedule of Fees and Charges for Personal Customers brochure (PDF Doc, 252kb) available at any Bank of Ireland branch for details of charges applicable to the 3rd Level Student Current Account.
2. Lending criteria, terms and conditions apply to the Student Loan, Motor Loan, Personal Loan, Travel Loan, Grant Advance Overdraft and the Student Credit Card. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and parental guarantee may be required. Applicants must be students attending a full time course, proof will be required. The travel Loan and Grant Advance Overdraft must be fully repaid within 9 months to avoid interest charges. Thereafter the standard student variable interest rate will apply on any outstanding balance, currently 11.9% APR variable as at 24th February 2010 and is subject to change. The repayments on a typical student loan of €400 over 12 months are €35.41 per month based on a variable rate of 11.9% APR variable and not including Payment Protection. The total cost of credit is €24.92. The rate quoted is effective as at 24th February, 2010 and is subject to change. On the Student Grant Advance Overdraft or any other Overdraft on a 3rd Level Student Current Account an interest surcharge of 0.6% per month (7.2% per annum) subject to a minimum charge of €2.54 per month applies to the amount in excess of agreed overdraft permission or to the full overdrawn amount where no agreed overdraft permission exists. Where an account with agreed overdraft permission does not revert to credit for 30 days during a 12 month period an Interest Surcharge of 0.75% per annum will be applied. Where a repayment is not made to a Loan account on the due date, an interest surcharge of 0.75% per month (i.e. 9% per annum) subject to a minimum charge of €2.54 per month will apply to the amount in arrears. Interest Surcharges apply in addition to the relevant interest rate and are calculated on the statement (i.e. uncleared) balance and are subject to change. For Student Credit Cards, introductory offers apply to new Credit Card customers only or to previous customers whose Bank of Ireland credit card accounts have been closed for more than one year. After six months 0% APR reverts to a variable rate of 18.1% APR for purchases as at July 2010.
Customers must have a current account with any bank for a minimum of 6 months with an average monthly turnover of €127 to qualify. Lending criteria, terms and conditions apply to all credit cards. Credit cards are liable to Government Stamp Duty of €30 per card. Credit cannot be offered to anyone under 18 years of age. Please refer to Student Credit Card brochure for full details of all fees and charges.
3. Terms and conditions apply to Text Top Up, ATM, Laser, Cirrus and Maestro facilities and 365 phone and 365 online services. Full details are available at any Bank of Ireland branch.
4. Easysaver is a regular saver account. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
Minimum monthly lodgement is €20, maximum monthly amount is €500. Terms
and conditions apply. The rate is a tiered variable rate not linked to ECB. Lump sums are not permitted into this savings product.Interest is subject to DIRT. The current rate of DIRT is 25% but is subject to change. This invitation may be amended or withdrawn at any stage at the discretion of the Bank.
