For best results, it's important to choose your keywords wisely.

  • Make keywords as specific as possible
    For example, 'credit card business' will produce better results than 'Information on credit cards for business purposes'

  • Avoid common words
    For example, words like 'for', 'would', 'like' and 'have' will dilute the search results

  • Searches on the Bank of Ireland site are not case sensitive
    For example, 'CrEdIt CaRdS' will produce the same results as 'credit cards'

  • The search facility will try variations of each keyword you enter to enhance search results
    For example, a search on 'credit cards' will also search the words 'credit or credited or crediting or credits' and also 'cards or card or carded or carding or carder'

  • The search facility does no support wildcard searches
    For example, 'car*' will not produce results for 'cards' or 'carded'
