Franchising Sector

Franchising can be defined as a form of marketing and distribution in which the franchisor grants to an individual or company, the franchisee, the right to run a business selling a product or service under the franchisor's business format and identified by their trade mark or brand. Franchising has become increasingly more popular over the years as a business option and there are now more than 270 different business format franchises operating in Ireland.

Our guide to franchising gives an overview of the sector as well as the steps needed to be taken when considering a franchise as a business option.
